Practical information

This page is designed to provide you with some practical information about the Scout uniforms what they are for and how they should be worn.

Uniform

  • Beavers wear a turquoise sweatshirt and the group scarlet necker with either a plastic maroon or special occasion woggle.
  • Cubs wear a dark green sweatshirt and the scarlet group necker with a plastic coloured, appropriate to there six, or special occasion woggle .
  • Scouts wear a dark green shirt and the scarlet group necker with a brown leather or special occasion woggle .
  • All uniforms must be worn with smart trousers (School type) or the optional Navy Scout trousers.

    Neckerchiefs

No idea what a Necker or neckerchief is let alone what to do with one? A Neckerchief or necker is the red (scarlet if your buying online!) scarf that is worn around the neck of every member of Chilvers Coton Scout Group. The "Necker" is held in place with a woggle, of which there are literally hundreds of designs and types.

Read on to find out how to roll the perfect one.

Lay the scarf on the ground or a table with the long edge towards you. Roll the scarf up towards the point. A woggle holds the two ends together.

    Badges

Badges to sew on, but not sure where they go?
