Explorer News
What are Explorer Scouts
Explorer are young adults aged between 14 and 18 years old. Here at Chilvers Coton we do not run an active explorer unit, but encourage our older scouts to join local Explorer sections around the district. We retain these explorers to assist with running the younger sections as part of there Young Leader award. At 18 each Explorer is given the opportunity to stay and hopefully become leaders one day and / or join the Nuneaton Network Section which runs from many locations around the town.
Explorer Scouting will be celebrating its 90th Birthday in 2008
What do we wear?
Explorers wear a smart uniform that includes a Light Brown shirt and smart trousers. Blue scout trousers are available but are strictly optional. The scarlet group necker is worn with either a brown leather woggle or a special occasion or award woggle.
