What are Cub Scoutscb-90-s.gif

Cubs are young people aged between 8 and 10½ years old. They belong to the second and loudest section in our group. Boys and girls can join Cub Scouts from 8. They can move to the next Section, Scouts, between 10½ and 11 years.

Cub Scouting recently celebrated its 90th Birthday in 2006

What do we do?

Cubs meet once a week at our headquarters known as "the cube". A group of Cubs is known as a pack, therefore we are called Chilvers Coton Cub Pack. Our Pack is divided into sixes of no more than, you guessed it, 6 people in each. Each six is named after a colour.

What do we wear?

Cubs wear a smart uniform that includes a dark green sweatshirt and smart trousers. Blue scout trousers are available but are strictly optional. The scarlet group necker is worn with either a coloured plastic woggle, relevant to the six or a special occasion woggle.
