Well Done to all Chilvers Coton Beavers who took part in the District Beaver Challenge 2008. This year saw 6 Beavers from Coton (the largest number from any single colony) take part in 6 activities designed for them to receive their "Imagination" badges. Well Done Beavers,  and Parents its time to get sewing!

What are Beaver Scouts

Beaver are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in our group. Boys and girls can join Beaver Scouts from 5. They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between eight and eight years six months.

Beaver Scouting recently celebrated its 20th Birthday in 2006

What do we do?

Beavers meet once a week at our headquarters known as "the cube". A group of Beavers is known as a colony, therefore we are called Chilvers Coton Beaver Colony. Our colony is divided into riverbanks or no more than 6 people in each.

What do we wear?

Beavers wear a smart uniform that includes a turquoise sweatshirt and smart trousers. Blue scout trousers are available but are strictly optional. The scarlet group necker is worn with either a maroon platsic woggle or a special occasion woggle.
